Seafoam

This necklace has one strand of freshwater pearls, two strands of peridot stone chips, and one strand that is a mix of peridot, citrine and aquamarine. I threw in a bunch of Bali sterling silver rondells and gorgeous end cones to complete this piece. It makes me think of spring and summer which is nice this time of year!

www.Etsy.com

I did it! I signed up today. Since it's taking a while for my DH to get my site up and running I figured I would give this try. My "store" can be found at www.mariecristine.etsy.com I think this site is still pretty new, but I believe it will catch on pretty quick. Hopefully to get a few sales! :)

Gemstone Meanings

I've done some looking on the net collecting meanings for some of the more common gemstones I use in my jewelry. I find it interesting, but it's not something I take too seriously. I'll add more tomorrow or the next day.

Agate: Strengthening on the spine and heart. Creates a contact between the heart and soul. Enhances negotiation skills. Agates attract strength, and protect from bad dreams. It also protects from stress and energy drains.

Amazonite: A stone of transformation, makes the rigid flexible and the narrow-minded open. Known to have healing powers for arthritis patients. Amazonite balances feminine and masculine energy. It promotes kindness and practicality. It is an excellent stone for artists and for men.

Amethyst: A stone of faith. Increases trust in yourself and others. Protecting and cleansing on body and soul, helps you to make the right decisions. Known to have healing powers for dependency, addiction, headaches and skin problems. Amethyst is a gemstone often worn by healers, as it has the power to focus energy. Amethyst is used for problems in the blood and in breathing problems. Amethyst crystal clusters are used to keep the air and life force in the home clean and positive.

Citrine: The scholars stone. Clears the mind, soothes the nerves and increases self-discipline. Promotes family connections. Citrine is known as the lucky "Merchants Stone". If you are in any type of sales, just put a citrine in the cash drawer and watch what happens.

Crystal: Gives insight and clarity, produces harmonious vibrations in a room. Creates closeness the spiritual world. Crystal is a common stone, but a powerful one. It is mainly used in healing as amplification for the energies of the other working stones. Crystal has a similar vibration as humans, which is why using Crystal to meditate helps one to know oneself. It will sometimes not work for a negative person.

Jasper: Strengthens spirituality and peacefulness. Jasper has been used for ages on pregnant women and patients with epilepsy. Jasper comes in many colors. All colors of Jasper will help balance the vibrations of the body. Jasper is slow to show a change to the person, but is such a basic "good" stone that one should always have it on hand.

My first post!

I guess there always has to be a first. So here we go! I think a good place for me to start is by posting a few pictures of my work. I will get right on that. ;) In the mean time I will continue working on a getting a website up, making more pieces, and taking care of my kids! I still have about 1/2 of my Christmas shopping to do, and the house could use a little tidying... Hmmm I wish I had more time in a day! Oh yeah, it's the hubby's birthday tomorrow as well, I'll see if I can whip up something fabulous for him, or maybe just dinner and a movie. I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out! Now, where are those pictures?
